I think it's only badly trained dogs. I had a little yappy rat dog going absolutely mental at me, I've also had a huge rottweiler that was so determined to get me it nearly leapt over a wall (North Rd Cardiff has a bit where the pedestrians walk behind a low wall) and dragged the owner with it!

Meanwhile, other dogs don't give a toss.

When we were in Zante the other year we were being driven back to the hotel by friends and passed a house with gates the opened straight out onto the road. It was night, and just as we were maybe 20 feet from the gates a huge dog burst out. How we didn't hit it or go off the road I'll never know.

I love it when they start going mental in the back of a car when you approach in traffic, the bigger dog the better.

A mates dog used to try and bite the front tyre everytime I had a shot of whatever bike he had. So I ended up swerving all over the road at 5mph trying to avoid it. Then nearly fell off for laughing. Not a wee daft terrier either.

My missus' dog was that happy to see me arrive at the house on the bike she would roll over wanting "clapped". Unfortunately everytime my missus took the dog out for a walk and the dog came into contact with a stopped or parked biker, it would run up all excited and roll over. Always got a laugh cos it made a change from them trying to attack.

My dog 's ears pr1ck up everytime he hears a motorbike (way before we do usually ) and he knows YC's very distinctive engine and starts barking and whining if I'm not home as he knows am on the back. But he does it if YC's coming to see me too, think he associates the bike with me coming home which is cute

They don't chase mine.
It arouses there attention, they get a bit of tension on their lead bark once *BANG* run behind their owners legs. All you need is a badly running bike and a sharp close of the throttle

There used to be a tight corner near my mates house where you had to slow down, the local mad dog knew this and used to wait for us on the corner, then come out snapping and snarling as you slowed for the bend, at one point it was training the local pups how to catch us! I got it one day though, I went belting towards the corner, slammed on and caught it a good boot right under the chin,I heard the click as its mouth clacked shut at 25 mph!

Not quite bike ,but there was a elderly lady who had a right yappy little mut near our old yard and when she took it for a walk it had one of these retractable leads
Coming down the road in an artic and as I swung wide to go in the yard this little dog went haywire. Unfortunately the owner wasn't quite quick enough with the retraction of the lead.
as the trailor swung in and she ended up with two pounds of mince on the end of a lead in the gutter as it went under the trailor wheels

I am a dog lover myself and felt so gutted for the old dear as she was very very upset I bought her a puppy and an ordinary lead
