I'm sure someone said on here recently that if you get done a couple of times they can withdraw your registration. No idea if thats true though.

i think that was me, the copper said he would take my plate off me and sell it (its a personal plate) then crush my car.

6x4 on me 650, got a 7x5 on me thou. Never had any problems with either (touch wood etc etc etc). Just change it back to the 9x7 for MOT time, 1 min job.

True. If you have a private reg they can withdraw your entitlement and issue you with a q plate. I got a letter from the DVLA once when i used to have a 9x3 plate for my private reg stating just that and if you are a repeat offender then can convisgate your vehicle and crush it. They cant sell you reg!

Not sure about the standard reg plate, but i suppose that its the same no matter what!

I've got a full size legal plate. It doesn't bother me at all, I can't see it when I'm riding and that's what my bike is for, not looking at. Why give the police any excuse to pull you. I value my licence and bank balance too much.
