A mate of mine did that a couple of years ago (ran out of petrol coming down Drumossie Hill). He spent the entire week-end filling up with petrol every 50 miles!! It took 10 hours to get back from Lochinver, via Aultbea, Eilean Donan, etc on the Sunday!!

I thought I had a decent amount and I'm used to the car running for 600-700 miles between refills although I didn't realise quite how few petrol stations there were around the area. I had visions of having to walk miles or just call the AA but the bike seemed to make it back to a petrol station ok, need to have a hunt to see what sort of range there is when the light is on.

Got on my mates brand new hornet and had a spin on it with no helmet or any protection (private property of course)
