If I'm that much of a cabbage I hope I can still twitch a finger and someone will be nice enough to put my shotgun against my head for me.

I find it a bit of an insult to disabled people everywhere who make the best of things and lead a full life to the best of their capeability. Its kinda like pointing at them and saying 'I'd rather be dead than like you'

I don't think it an insult to consider what you think your own reactions would be in similar situations. A cabbage does noone any good and I don't want to be stuck in some nether-world between life and death. I'd rather it just be over in one nice fiery ball of death and that's that. Far less problematic for the family.

My grandad lived a fairly full life for a number of years with only 1 leg, 1 toe and 8 and a half fingers.

If I lost my legs I'd be doing my best to build a 'busa trike. With a turbo.

That's what I like about it being my opinion or my choice on my life!

Plus, as I said it would depend on the level of disability.

I have a 'living will', which basically says if I'm in a 'vegetative, state etc, medical staff are not allowed to administer antibiotics,I.V fluids etc and just let me pass away [OH told to administer Henessy brandy and paracetamol! Haha!]

Hard to do with the forks off the bike. And to miss alpinestar(i think) who said we dont risk it unless we do hurtle round at breakneck speeds(which most of the time I do) what if some old bugger that has no eyes smashes into you

Really common injury. Bars turn on impact and rip the nerves out as your arm is outsretched. Most one armed bikers had this happen, they just choose to lop the arm off as it's more annoying than anything else.

Well, everything I said in my original post still stands

you can enhance the risk or minimise the risk. If your going at 90mph and an old biddy crashes into you, you'l probably end up much worse off than if you were going 30 - 40mph

Wait a sec... youre admitting to "hurtling around at breakneck speeds"? You then make a thread about what you would rather - be disabled, or dead. hmmm... maybe you should just slow down a bit and focus on being safe, then you wouldnt have to consider your death options. Perhaps its best youre on a 250.
