the warrenty was only for 300 miles, basically expired when i rolled out of the lot. and it sat in there garage all winter (minnesota USA) and the rust snuk up on it

when surely thats a manufacture warrentee or something.

they initially were going to charge me for everything since it was a "wear and tear" problem. but I talked to manager after manager untill the deal was met about the chain.

Sorry Todd. With so little mileage you most definitely bought the bike with worn chain and sprockets. I got a front sprocket in the UK for £6.50 GBP. Change them all and lubricate more often. That will be the end of it for over 20K miles.

damn, i suppose i should get sprockets any idea on what i should be looking to spend in dollars lol? us americans dont know our exchange rates

I recently purchased a chain and sprocket set off ebay for £60 (about $90) so I would imagine you'd be paying less than that in the States.

add another £60-70 and get a scotoiler.. then forget about lubbing chain ever again.
