the price of them is stupid money.. site fees are ridiculous for what it is.. think of the cash you will be spending on it.. then think of all the short breaks you could have instead.. i love caravans... but statics are just big money pits... you are basically stuck on one site at the mercy of the site owner and depending on what the contract is like you might have to pay the site a % of the price if or when you sell on... site owners seem really nice till they have you trapped...

dont do it.. for the money, get a motorhome instead...

isnt everything other than houses "moneypits" tho? i have a pension thats 20 years old and is worth jack sh#t, my cars lost 4k in the past 15 months i just need chill out space.

What a fab idea! I'd go for it, the idea of getting away from here every weekend is very appealing. You've made me think about it as there are log cabins on a lake not that far, I think I'll have a google.

Oooh I know the site Daz. When I was at BM at Pendeford I used to run up the canal path sometimes, up beyond the motorway. It's lovely around there, and the A5 although close is not busy cos everyone uses the motorway.

I think it looks terrific
