Neither i or the mrs find the pointy seat that comfortable, we are on the lookout for better seat when funds allow. That said it's not too bad if you are moving about on the bike.

How do the owners of SVS find them? I've heard that slower riding can be a bit of a pain, literally.
its not bad at all.
learn to take the weight off your wrists by gripping tank with your legs and using stomach muscles.

Im doing 120 miles a day on my pointy at the moment and its ok
If my shoulders start to hurt (old injury) I just sit closer to the tank and shorten the reach.

The other options for seats are Sargent Seats but beware that the K3 pointy has a different seat from the later K4 onwards . Bar wise I went for the ABM comfort kit and managed to score the Org a 15% discount at the same time as well . I get on ok with the Pointy seat and don`t find it uncomfortable either , by the time I need to refuel I can be a tad uneasy if I am grilling the bike on Motorways and getting pushed back into the saddle but a fuel and widdle stop seems to be enough to make things ok again .

I find my seat ok, if it does start to ache its normally on the very outside of my backside/top of leg.

I sometimes get a bit of pins and needles in my thumb and forefinger from the throttle side, but i dont get that if i relax and loosen my grip ( my own fault there).

I also looked at the ABM comfort kit, which really interests me (the UKBAD promo code doesnt seem to work on the site anymore, but im going to ring them up and ask about the kit.).

I also looked at the Corbin seat or the OEM Gel seat, but i can go on a day out and not feel to bad at the end of it, which is far more than i can say for my mates R6...

I found the SVS completely different to most people experience.

It gave me the numbest bum I have ever had, even after 50 miles I would not be able to feel my bum and I would be getting pins and needles.

Not sure what caused it. I'm bang on 6ft so it may have just been the unfortunate way my body was positioned.

Either way it was incredibly uncomfortable for me, my 600rr which has much lower bars and a much harder seat was more comfortable for me.

A very soft seat can sometime crush down on Arteries and suchlike and actually cause problems , a hard seat can sometimes equate to a less tingly ride for some people . I know it`s better for me I`ll take a plank over a cushion any day
