That said, if eveyone else wants the un-newbie friendly version then I could always tail along at the back and meet you there a day later! lol
I did the lakes 3 months after I passed my test, it was october and peeing it down with rain so don't be put off by going with little experience. Just as long as you stick to the leader and he rides to accomodate your experience, he will know the route and should slow you down for the more challenging hairpins etc, you can then watch his lines and be sure to learn from somebody with experience, your riding will improve throughout the day based on that and by the end of the day you WILL be more confident.

The people wishing to play are best off at the back where it is quicker, they can just hang back and play catch up, so just avoid being at the back and don't feel like you are being pushed to go quicker if someone is on your tail

'preciate the comments, I'm back riding after 9/10 years away and with a big jump in bike size. I know I need to ride with others cos like you say I get to watch their lines, and their gear changes, it's just getting over the fear of riding like a right numpty.
If I'm free, then count me in.

Hey Beanie don't worry about the pace of the rideout - we normally use a marker system with a dedicated tail-ender bringing up the rear so no-one gets lost or left behind. That way everyone can go as fast or as slow as they feel comfortable with, no-one is expected to ride at a pace they are uncomfortable with in order to keep up. After all it's not a race, just a day to enjoy some nice roads & scenery - though it's probably a good idea to concentrate more on the first one of those!

Might be fun playing tec when the pace is good. but a pain if it is painful.

Don't worry Beanie, I know you are capable of moving. and it is someones job to keep up with you
