I always ride with earplugs if I am due to go over 50mph anywhere, they are compulsary as most helmets are pretty loud at high speed.

ear plugs: reduce noise, reduce fatigue as a result of wind noise, reduce hearing damage, aid concentration and makes high speed feel much more composed/civilised...

They take a bit of getting used to but you soon get the nack for it I can't ride without em

Nor me. And it you wear them it doesn't matter what lid you buy and how loud it is.
