No it won't. That was the point. Well according to that program anyway

Yeah, stay indoors and claim dole, seems to be the message they are sending out these days. Given that most of the workers will soon be losing their licence on the daily commute perhaps they should be diverting some of the funds raised from speed enforcement into community improvement schemes like...I know, driver education. That way people will still be able to drive over 20mph without crashing into each other, problem solved.

This happened in Oxfordshire a few years ago.
The result? Lots of drivers don't trust any of the speed limits and my entirely personal experience suggests that a lesser proportion of traffic obeys any of the relevant regulations, the ludicrous expansion of double white lines also reduced road users trust in their use and placement.

Thick as planks, but what really hurts is the utter lack of understanding of how roads work.

Warwickshire is one of the "trial" counties where nearly all A-roads are now 50/40 limits, just a few are still NSL. It's a pain in the neck.

One stretch of dual carriageway is coned off for roadworks and there's a 30 limit for a couple of miles. Most of the day the traffic is very light, and doing 30 on that stretch makes you lose the will to live. I find I lose concentration going at an unnaturally slow speed for the road, there's no apparent reason to concentrate, nothing is happening.
