Yeah after market seats are better, but whether they are worth it is moot. On my SV I did 500 mile days on the stock seat, but fitted a pukka Suzuki gel seat when one came up on Ebay (read cheap) and it was much more comfy for 8 hours in the saddle. You don't need one, but they are nice for long rides.

If you were aching after 120 miles, all I can say is get out and ride some longer days, you will soon get over it!

My bagster seat is the best mod i've ever made to my bike! I ride an hour each way to work and back down a very boring motorway. I've also taken it down to London and back in a day and I did ache in places but not my bum.

The stock pillion seat is even worse than the stock rider seat though. It's just a slab. Seems more designed for strapping luggage to than coddling delicate pillion bottoms.

Just saw this and thought I would put in a post, I bought front and rear matching corbins for my SV650 K7 and they made a huge difference, I am now selling these as I am selling the bike soon.

They cost £200+ EACH! (I know I am mad) cause they came from the states, now I know I am not going to get near this but if ANYONE is interested then let me know before they go on ebay.

Will post in for sale too
