All the mole grips lead to are two broken stubs still welded solidly in the one half of the caliper...

20k+ for the rears for me, that's plus because they weren't worn out just getting a little rusty and I got some Carbon Lorraine pads from Carnells shutting down sale for a pound (which also tells you how long ago it was).

Only guessing they might sell it or something similar. I got mine from Wemoto.

Probably cheaper on the net

Hah, you lose!!! They pins slid out beautifully using just my fingers

It's a fiddly job though 'innit? Nevermind, it's done now and much improved. Took nearer an hour than 10-15 mins but i'm happy that it's done right and though my OH did most of it this time, next time i'll be confident to do it myself.

Thanks for your words of good advice, guys....you're the BEST!

My rear ones lasted around 18k, (I replaced them at 18.5 ) slightly over worn
Front are still OK for a short while.

but theres no substitution for checking. Do as I say not as I do

went through my fronts in 6.5k for some reason.

It depends if your rear seizes on and you don't use the rear brake then you won't know.

I find as recommened on here a clean pre and post winter of all 3 calipers will help even if you just remove, clean, re-grease and replace the calipers it will help.
