I think she is thinking a bit deeper, maybe she is concerned what you will get up to, bloody women are difficult to understand (never will get them, stopped trying and I am one).

Spa day sounds the way forward though or even you could try and arrange a babysitter? There are always small factors that she would have thought about that wouldn't have crossed your mind, but keep at it and maybe she will explain why she isn't "allowing" you to go.

Good luck.

I think something along these lines ^^^^ might be the best idea...sneaky sneaky catchy wormy......or something...

I see where you're coming from neio however using your method could be costly both mentally and physically...

Zobers - good point - if I harp on sufficiently maybe she'll just give in...there's always hope.

Dan - I sometimes actually wish I was you...and I don't even know you...

Ed - fair point and well made - know any good divorce solicitiors?.

Dave numbers - taking the kids with me...now maybe one of them would not be a bad idea...hmmm...

I reckon Bluefish is the winner...

You got to do whatever you got to do dude, I seen them live in Bristol about 2 years ago for the "Heart of Everything" tour, and they were freaking amazing!

Also, it is Sharon Del Adel... Although, Robert Westerholt is a good guy and freakishly tall.

Send her to a Spa or send her to her parents for some "catch up time" with them

+1. Its nothing crazy that should require a bribe or blackmail?! Just go. She'd be allowed to go and see a band that she likes surely?

girl's eye view:

Why don't you all go? Have a nice day out, put her and kid(s) up in a decent hotel, you go off to your concert for a couple of hours while she orders room service, then have a nice breakfast and go home the following day.

or is that too easy?
