I fell over twice last winter (bloody frozen water on paths, bah!!). One left my right knee somewhat swollen & me limping for about a week-10 days after.

On the other it was the usual hands/arms to break the fall resulting in a shoulder x-ray.

Wish regards pain, I yooshoo - halyy find alcofrol(hic) drinks worksed wundurs fror me. Infract how the heel I nevur felled over more than 2 times is a compleet myshtrry

This is terrible. There is house work to do, washing that needs sorting and the cats need shaving! But I am stuck in bed, under a nice warm duvet with both cats cuddled in... Oh this is hell! Now for a hypothetical question, lets say that there was a girl who had a job and while undertaking that job a large heavy box fell on her, putting her in hospital for an afternoon and leaving her in a lot of pain. When she discussed it with her boss, he admitted liability and said that he had told the girl's line manager that stacking boxed like that was dangerous and someone would get hurt if they fell down. What should she do, baring in mind that she actually quite likes working there?

Be carefull with this, Health & Safety is also the employees responsibilty. Did the hypothetical girl have any training or experience in moving heavy objects? Did she follow the standard procedure for doing so? Should she have been anywhere near the box? Did she see the danger but deliberately ignored it? Even if this girl is the obvious "victim" of this accident, she could still end up with writen warning or worse if she is found to have broken the rules. Bigger companies have all this sort of thing in place. Then again, maybe training wasn't given, maybe pressure was applied to carry out unsafe practices etc...
