Now that is what I am talking about, that looks very comfortable and also quite wicked!

Offset is how far forwards the fork goes from a straight line through the headset is it not? I had not considered that there could be differences between the S and the N.

Where can I find this information our before I blow hard earned on something that may be useless?

Depending on how much of the fork you have sticking through the yoke (I dont have a SV so I dont know) Raask make some clamps that fit around the fork and let you fit normal bars I have a link some where I'll stick it in here when i find it.

It is really nice for riding on the road. I did it because, despite many years of riding sportbikes, I have in the last several years been riding supermoto and apart from looks I figured it'd make swapping between bikes a bit easier. My SM has now been stolen and if I'm honest I didn't like hanging-off at the track with these bars (I'm quite tall and without tank grip and the benefit of a forearm along the tank I was inadverantly pushing to much on the bars to hang off in the transitions -made things unsteady).

Aside from that, and if you're not tall and knee-scratching on the road, I find them very comfortable, but still sporty. Because I'm hoping to do more track days this season I may switch back to clip ons.

Yes if you mean measuring the distance of an imaginary line through the centre of both forks to the centre of the steering tube.

As to whether or not the S and N are different, I'm not sure but I seem to recall reading that on either this or the Us forum (I might be out to lunch or maybe it;s just the curvies). Regardless, if you're not keen to drill what you have, you can always swap/buy upper and lower yokes as a set. Good opportunity to do some bearing maintenance or replacement as well.

I am not in any way sporty on my bikes, mainly due to still being on L plates, but also because I suffer with a lot pain which is worse when riding the clip ons, so it will be quite beneficial for me. Also Carol hates clip ons, she likes to have the wind in her hair and a nice comfortable position. So between us, this should do a lot of good for us both.

Maybe one day I will be rich enough to buy Carol a new Zed, but until that day we will have to share the SV.

I'd agree, the swap option is the best bet, however if you do have to drill the S top yoke, give me a shout and I'll see if I can machine up some incerts, once bonded in the yoke is stronger than even the naked one, done a couple of curvys and Triumphs, so well possible.

Cheers Mark.

Thank you Mark, that is very kind of you.

I will talk it over with the other half and get back to you on that one.

Thank you for the link, however the fork tops are flush with my top yoke and so would not fit. Good idea though.
