[QUOTE=yorkie_chris;2147598]The back end doesn't care what you've got on the front. Mix and match at will if you know what you're doing.
Sorry but I have to disagree with the first part as the tread pattern of the front is designed to compliment the rear and vice versa. You could end up with a much grippier rear meaning it holds longer and the front lets go Mix and match if you wish but as the original poster was asking I would presume they did not know what they were doing |

"if you know what you're doing" Obviously keeping a stock front tyre and fitting a racetec rear will mean the front slides first

A 160/60/17 would be a good start.

I must confess, that I haven't.
I seem not to be terribly fussy and have ridden on 020s, Stradas, D207s, Z6s, Roadsmarts, PR2s, RoadAttacks, and Vipers in the last few years. The Roadsmarts will last a fair while longer on the SV, the ZX6R is going to be up for new tyres before the SV, one of them will, I'm sure end up on the new Avon Storm tyre soon. However, when compared to the above selection of tyres I've not found the roadsmarts to be a bad tyre so far. Jambo
