No intention to instil fear, but if you get it slightly when off the bike too, a lack of sense of touch, could be carpal tunnel syndrome. Go see a doc as mentioned above (if warmer hand stuff doesn't seem to fix it)

Actually, i dont have heated grips, but i bought some a* super moto short gloves as i dont like wearing bulky ones and that made a difference also, much more feel and i wear them in the cold as well and no worse than my winter gloves which i hate wearing.

I am gonna get some heated grips though

I put some renthal soft grips on, dont seem to get as much vibration now and i would recommened

I found that new bar ends and heated grips cured that for me.

tiz the position of the bars, i changed the bars for an adjustable set and numbness went away.

i know its not easy to master but learn to bend your elbows so your forearms are as horizontal as you can get them. this will take most of the weight from your hands and wrists. also has the added benefit of making your arms act like shock absorbers.

I put on some slightly higher clip on's that I got from here and it helped a lot. I also found I was holding on to tight and learned to relax more while riding and now don't seem to have the problem.
