Sounds fairly terminal, unlucky, these types of failures are pretty rare with SV.

20.4 miles, what were you doing 150mph and changed down to 2nd lol, welcome to the org, hope you have better luck with your next bike

How many miles had the bike allegedly done?
Good on the dealer for doing the decent thing. Thank god it happened in a straight line. |

Firstly...wow, bad luck with that bike. But like YC said, thats a really really rare occurence. Personally, I havn't heard of that before...and I've been involved on here for years now. And as pete said, good job it was in a straight line.
You'd be unlucky to have a problem of similar magnitude on your next SV, so I think you can relax and get out riding Dealer sounds like they are good, so mention them to us and we might just not completly by-pass them
