There I was... admiring my new boots, tank bag and gloves, when that bloody kerb shot out into the road (the traffic calming measure 50yds in front of the main entrance).

Teach me to get distracted. Unfortunately, because I was a little tired, I tried to go on the brakes instead of swerving round it. Stupid, but there you go....

Boy was my face red after that!

I was there on the Friday.

I was the one who turned up in a car with an empty bike trailer on.

The car park staff got me to park in with the traders' vans and charged me the same as just a car (I was rather happy about that).

Getting out of London after the show was a nightmare though.

I got halfway across London and then got a phone call and had to head back across to the other side. I crossed Tower Bridge twice!

Remind me never to attempt to drive in cities again (unless I'm on a bike).
