The extra duty is needed to pay for the MPs wage increase to offset only being able to claim genuine expenses.

I know one thing, the petrol price protests in 2000 resulted in stable prices for over 1 year, funny that, especially when blair said it wouldnt have any effect on their policies etc.
Mass demonstration is a start i think, maybe mass rideout resulting in a blockade of the more greedy fuel providers.
MCN did it with the reclaim north wales thingy, albeit not sure of their results.
