Ive had that pyramid effect before and reckon its cos I'm going into bends on on trailing throttle which is not good as it risks losing the front end. Now I'm trying to brake more than required then lightly put the power on to transfer weight to the back so hopefully giving the front tyre an easier life.

Worst has been just over 3K on shagged suspension. One rear gave 4K after chasing a certain plumber to tyneside and back. All the others have given 6-6.5K So when ragging my bike, the wear is noticeable. Just been on the Blackbird site and they were moaning about wear on the Storms against PR2s in their thread about the Ultras. I think it is due to the extra weight of the bigger bikes that the Storms wear fastish when clogging on.

Remember the big chunk taken from my rear tyre on the GM2? That was worn flat after 500 miles...

Had similar after my first Cadwell - pic attached ( not going quick, honest ) and that also disappeared.
Don't think it's wear but the rubber " migrating " but then I know nothing.

I Think Im Guilty Of All Of The Above Traits Hence The Trashed Tyre, Of Those 6500 Miles Roughly 4000 Were 2 Up With Wayyyyy Too Much Gear. I Enter Corners Alot On The Run Down And Iv Never Played With My Rear Suspension So Thats More Than Likely Wrong.... Looks Like Iv Got Some Work To Be Doing

Yeah, enough with the capitalising everything already.

If you are bottoming the suspension out everywhere, it will wear tyres badly.

Decent summer tyres blah a set of part worn supercorsa race tyres 40 quid the set and 2k from the rear. Lots of weird wear but they gripped and worked so I ain't going to analyse what's going on!

Do a deal with one of the Minitwin guys to buy their scrubs.

At 40 quid a set you can't beat them for value... and until you've tried the sticky stuff first hand, you don't realise how much of a change they are. Its not just grip, the tyres weigh about half as much as a Sports touring tyre, which helps the suspension and give twice the feel. Add in the extra grip and the whole world changes!

In the wet you just ride 10% more cautiously than you would of Sports touring tyres.
