It's worse when they bring a live one in, although our littlest once proudly trotted in carrying a clockwork mouse!
![]() In short, you can't. Make sure there is plenty of food available and it mar reduce the hunting, but never stop it. |

hunt the mouse.....hmmm had that one!.
Didn't see cat bring live one in couple of summers ago. For three days I thought the dog was admiring itself in the cooker door too much, and then a nose poked out!! Had to rip out half the kitchen to get the little git out. Got a humane trap, that it ate the bait out of then hid back behind the washer...ended up getting a clear plastic jug and sitting at the side of the washer for it to investigate....ahhhhh unluckeeeeee Mr Mouse, Dizz caught ya ![]()

Our cat when he has caught something makes a howling version of his meoww, so we always know that he's got something.
Then we know to be careful when opening the door. |

We have two cats, a tom and a girl, both as bad as each other... there isn't a way to stop them, I'm used to headless mice in the house but I really don't like it when the girl brings in dead blackbirds.

Fairs fair here, you have a cat that kills other animals/birds how ever you wish to adorn it you have an animal you can't control therefore ask yourself should you have it. Would you be happy if it came home after being mauled by a dog,or if it killed the little girl next doors guinea pigs or such. A lot of fuss is created over people keeping dogs and other pets under control and I do not see how a cat as anything different,it is still a domestic pet under your control. The majority of cat owners allow them to wander in other peoples gardens and crap in their flower beds and lawns and think nothing of the nusiance they are causing. If it was a dog doing this all hell would let loose and cat mess makes just as much mess on a carpet as dogs mess.
People who aren't prepared to control and look after pets should not have them. Try fitting a big bell round its neck so the other animals can hear it coming,be responsible for its actions |

I do agree with your point there. There is a neighbours cat that poos in our front garden. It's disgusting! I have a flower bed and a concrete bit where I put the bike and then some gravel up to the front wall. They poo on the gravel, it looks disgusting and I have nearly trod in it more times than I care to imagine.
