Be extra worried, then, that I was trained in the care and feeding of guns while in the Air Cadets.

I just find them, the engineering and thought that goes into them fascinating. The XM8 is because of its modular design - you can quickly swap out all the parts, including the barrel, for a bullet calibre change.

The problem was that Hungerford and Dunblane were all carried out with legally held guns. Nobody in recent memory has gone out and killed 10 people with a bow/javelin/discus.

A kneejerk reaction: yes, but it was in response to a number of events.

A kneejerk response to police incompetence

ex FAC Holder who lost his rifles after Hungerford and pistols after Dunblane.

This is the place to go. Dunno if there are many other places like it but these advertise in all the hotels. It's about 2 miles from the strip on Tropicana, just the other side of the airport, but go in any taxi and say you want to shoot guns and the'll take you here.

Here is a youtube video about it.

I fired 2 clips from a Glock 9mm then 2 clips of a MP5.

Was over in about 2 minutes and cost about £50 but well worth it.

Agreed.I was thinking more about the "We should ban it because I dont agree with it"sentiment though.

Certainly not in Dunblane, and I didn't think so at Hungerford.
