oh yeah an 100% +1 on the exhaust clamp. You need the real deal not some ****ty car ones either, they're worse than useless bloody warped my original link pipe using one of those. Once fitted pop down to most motorcylce garages (not showrooms) they'll measure it with a vernier and get you the right sized clamp usually cost about £5

Get mikalor marine stainless ones, they are only ones that don't rot for fun that I have found

Does anyone know when Suzuki started puting the cat in the link pipe? I'm assumeing the early FI models didn't have a cat and that it was introduced later. I know this is the case with some other makes so I assume some new rules came into play at some point?

my bike is a 2001 so the cat shouldnt be an issue

at 2001 it definatly wont have one, it's only on FI bikes. I fitted one on an 08 the other week and it had the cat in the pipe so 07 seems about right.
