Go down the local tip and ask to use their weighbridge and measure the weight of your bike on it.
Now take your bar ends off and do it again. The weight that it has fallen by will be the weight of your bar ends.

cool idea lol

Or I could just not be a lazy **** and take off the bar ends and rummage out the kitchen scales and stick them on there...

Thought the weight might be stamped on them somewhere.. bikes in the garage right at the end of the garden - its a long way just to go look and check..

But your idea sounds more fun!!

Find your nearest smack dealer and ask to borrow their digital scales

Did anyone get anywhere with finding out the weight of the standard bar ends?

Good evening all.

Hang on folks! I'm in the process of making a small batch of Stainless steel end weights.

I'm going to make one size of weight that will be suitable for Curvy & Pointy models.

Curvys use a 60mm bolt if my memory serves me correctly, & Pointys seem to vary. So, any info on bolt lengths would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Not yet, keep forgetting to take them off and have a look. Will let you know what mine weigh when I get round to it. Hopefully tomorrow if I get chance as its my only day off this week. Just gotta sort out my slow puncture first!
