agree with lozzo you cant just put a mileage figure on getting use to the bike its crazy that they would say that. i got use to my 750 in about a weekend which covered about 500 miles of roads i knew.

Especially as it is first bike... you not just getting used to the bike, you are getting used to biking.
But don't let me stop you, better suspendies on the 600 by a mile than a stock SV, maybe more conducive to pushing it a bit
