I should also add that the alternative for me is to move back to yorkshire and go on the dole as the reason that Im in Scotland is there were no jobs in yorkshire. I sent over 500 CVs out without reply. Seems an easy decision hu?

grab it with both hands-look on another positive-if you bring your kids and they settle and end up getting married etc, your grand kids will be Scottish-that alone should be enough of a reason for you to move up here.

We haven't moved yet which is the reason for the thread.

The other half just flatly refuses to move or even contemplate a move. She won't even discuss it.

Even knowing that if we don't move I'll be on the Dole and we'll probably lose the house we're in anyway.

I'm baffled and haven't found out the reason yet.

... Its going to be an interesting weekend.
