You get that buying a used bike, so why should buying used forks bother you.

I get annoyed by people saying stuff like "You should never buy used brake components because they may not be safe" (the audience can affect a whiney whingey Casey Stoner type voice if required)

Well Mr Clever-Tw4t, what do you think your recently bought 5 year old used bike has if it's not used brake components. I don't think the previous owner fitted brand new calipers just to sell it to you.

Nah mate it's more of an adenoidal rover-restoring type voice than a stoner one.

Front Fork Legs, slightly bent, needs new slider tubes, stock springs, will need new oil (will be emptied) and fork sliders and one of the fork shields has been broken, overall good condition slight flaking and scuff on the bottom of the right side leg, will include pinch bolt and preload adjusters £30+ £15 postage

Buying second hand stuff shouldn't necessarily raise alarm bells.....unless whatever it is you're buying has clearly NOT been looked after, in which case, you probably wouldn't buy it!!

I was meaning, has it been garaged? Ridden over winter in the salt? Pressure washed when cleaned? Blah blah blah.

And I meant the whole bike, not bits of it.
