Do people tend to go for the stainless steel or titanium look?

I went for the stainless. No doubt the titanium is nice but I'm not keen on the coloured "flamed" ends that many have and it's a very large price premium for very little weight saving.

I also have a stainless stubby.
As mikerj mentioned, not overly keen on the end and its a pretty big price difference for not a lot of weight. |

stubby cans are really loud and like a 'screaming noise' I like them but don't think I could cope with one on my bike

I had a fukll length aluminum BOS can on mine witch i changed for a stubby titanium Scorpion. It is a lot louder but at least the cars can hear me now and they dont pull out of nowhere in front of me. As mentioned before if you dont rev it too much it wont annoy anyone. I have the baffle out and have been next to the "lovely" police cars on traffic lights and they didnt even turn their heads round. If you provoke them though.......then it becomes an issue....

Scorpion street extreme just purchased (it's a stubby of course) and the baffles out, sounds ggggggreat someone said it reminded them of a big race canned TL the other day, Lol. Took it around Brands on a track day yesterday and a spectator said they could always tell when I was coming along cos of the noise! Bearing in mind my bike was the smallest engined bike there!! It also passed a trackside noise limit test (with the baffle still out although I had it in my bag just in case, Lol) Have to say the stubby with an end cap looks the dogs as well.

Hi Jack, I also saw them when I was contemplating which exhaust to get. They're very small and the exit is nearly as wide as the entire can. From what I can figure it will be VERY loud. As I've said previously in this post, I have the 350mm Delkevic stainless steel, and it's a beautiful length. It's really quite loud enough as it is, especially with the baffle out. I don't think I'd be happy with anything louder. The Delkevic is also road legal and I don't think that the ones you are looking at are - but that's just something for you to consider? Just trying to be helpful, here's a link to what I have http://www.delkevic.co.uk/?section=s...nt=110&start=0 HTH |
