Quiff, I got a pair of Magnums that I was going to fit to the ADV, but then realised there was nowhere to fit them that wouldn't fill with water on a deep crossing

If you want I can bring one to the AR? If you're really lucky I might have a ready made relay harness as well, but I'll have to check the garage

Cost you a cider at the bar

I've never bothered fitting a relay with Magnums. I checked the datasheet once and the current draw wasn't sufficient to warrant a relay. However, some people fit one just to be on the safe side.

Quiff mate, I'd fit a relay since they are buttons and a doddle to fit. It's not worth the risk of damaging the loom for a few quid.

The problem with the Viffer is where to mount the damn things. There is very little room under the fairings to mount the trumpets / horn and even less if you go for air horns and need to mount a compressor. It's something I've wanted to do on mine for ages, but cba looking for somewhere to mount stuff.

As I understand it, you are in luck as there is room under the top left fairing for a horn / compressor on bikes with no ABS, as there is a void there for fitting ABS gubbins. For me there is nowhere to fit them easily (but I have an idea I just thought of!), so would be interested to see how you do.

Its easy to split the compressor from the Stebel Nautilus so its in 2 bits.

I stuck the compressor under the Sv passenger seat and the now lightweight plastic horn in the Sv's left fairing. Connected compressor to horn with a length of plastic pipe

Used the horn wiring to power the relay.

If you get a Nautilus then make sure you buy the Mini version, as the horn section is smaller, but the compressor is the same size.

The Magnums I fitted were'nt as loud as my single Nautilus

Fitting an upgrade horn to an SV is no problem, unfortunately the Quiffster has a VFR. There is very little room for anything on them, especially under the seat!
