That has holes in top, you need a pickup from bottom so it can suck coolant back in when it cools down

all this seems a little excessive, this having to replace the expansion bottle .

I've fitted a HID to a curvy naked, and the ballast unit slotted quite nicely just infront of the airbox, the 8 inches or so of cable supplied on the wiring was more then enough to reach back to the headlamp and plug in, a note on the heat generated, my current one is housed directly under the clocks, and I've check it after a constant hour of use, not a mark on there, so it can't get that hot at all.

Cheers Mark.

indeed it is excessive, but i am excessive.

i would indeed slot it in front of the air box snorkel but i already have all the excess front loom in there.

There's loads of room under that tank. You just have to get creative. Take out the airbox and you'll see

surely sorting out the wiring properly is something you'll be doing anyway, isn't it, i mean that'll make fault finding a nightmare, not to mention it's a half ar*ed job.

the looms intact like the stock loom just didn't want half of it sticking out of the front of the bike so it has been snaked up under the tank and zip tied up its no different to the stock loom apart from the trail tech vapor plug for the dash lights

so you've kept it stock for what reason ?

resale ?

Personally I would have shortened it where needed, and refitted plug so the wiring was the actual length required, that's the difference between and good job and and a wild west one, it's not as if you haven't had the time, and that's all it is.

Cheers Mark.

never thought about shortening the loom, electrics are not my strong point so never crossed my mind as that makes it harder.

you have me thinking now .... lol
