Yes, thats what I used, but we have Naked SV's, Dave numbers has an "S" so he doesn't want the mirror thread bit!!!

gsxr perch will work with a slight mod as conecter into switch is differnt to sv but i used a gsxr1000 k2 perch & switch!!!
had to remove conector block casing off sv wirring then attatched spade conecters to gsxr switch tested it then filled switch with sealent to ensure weatherproof

Yes, will need to modify the plug or re-terminate the wires.

I can concour with tom46.
