Erm, its not the book burning thats the important bit. It is its effect on what else is going on around the world. Israel and Palestine are just about to sit down to the first serious attempt (read into that what you will) at a lasting peace in the Middle East, "umpired" by the USA. Obama is keen to spread the joy to undo the Spreding of hatred his prdecessor did.

All the work could be undone if this arrogant, selfish nutter gets his way.

Not only that it could also change the plans for withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan.

That would be a lot of work wasted if this pillock lights his match.

Bahli - although can't remember who claimed this.

Don't understand the fuss. They are allowed to burn flags etc, but throw a wobbly when a discussion about a measly bit of paper.

See in my eyes he went about it all wrong.

He should have said he was gonna recycle the book. Greenpeace would have loved it, as would the governments.

I wouldn't exactly say that they are 'allowed' to do it. The fact that they do and get away with it just shows that the intended targets tend to be a little more tolerant than the extremists who start screaming bloody murder if others so much as dare to insult their religion (their religion, not their faith).

It won't work though

Just as America turfed out their right wing crackpot, Israel voted theirs in...

No **** sherlock

Gonna edit the inaccuracies in your first post then?

Once we water down your strawman argument consistent with reality people will probably find themselves agreeing with you...
