My days of riding a bike in all weathers have long since gone. I much prefer the comfort of the car when the weather is inclement and it is much more convenient if you are dressed to go somewhere,or have grandkids who want to come with you.
This is not to say I do not use my bike when it is convenient for me ,and a darn site cheaper, but it is basically for pleasure rather than a necessary mode of transport.
Taking into consideration I am retired I still manage about 5K a year on the bike and I will probably not buy another one after this one's gone so here's hoping it lasts for a few years yet.

I have the bike for everyday use as I don't even have a car license. The mrs has the car license and she drives our car and that's works just fine for us...for now...

Maybe this winter will change my mind...

Bikes for fun and commuting when it's not p***ing down.

Car for when the weather's crap or I need to carry more than will fit on the bike.

1 car, 1 4x4, 2 bikes.

Car, everyday usage.
4x4 for winter, car comes off the road as useless in the snow.
SV for sunny commutes and fun.
TS as an ornament...with the odd ride.

1 car and 1 bike,

use the car for the daily grind, use the bike sometimes to commute if its nice out and if I know i will have a difficult day at work as the ride home will make me happy no matter has happened at work
bike is now just for fun, weekends and the odd track day

1 x SV
1 x Ducati 749S
1 x GSXR 750

1 x Ford Maverick 4 x 4
1 x Audi A6

Its a right PIA keeping a track of what needs taxing.

There was a time that I only had a bike, it was a PIA when doing food shopping as theres only so much you can carry. Also If I wanted to go anywhere with my mates, I had to beg a lift or meet them there and store my lid etc somewhere, it was do-able just needs more planning, if it was raining it wasnt much fun.

For somethings a car is just easier and more practical and I'd not be without one again now.

I have a car and a bike. Car is my main mode of transport, mainly because my daily commute is 369 miles lol.

3 bikes.

My good 'un,GSX1400K2 for "dry use only" and touring.

My hack, SV650SK3 for getting to work ...and taking the long way home.

And one for her. XV535DX Virago. Using this at the mo. Ran out of petrol for the first time in 10yr on friday in the middle of nowhere (the long way home ) Who thought an electric reserve switch was a good idea!!!! Anyway thanks to all the bikes who gave the thumbs-up and a big F.U. to all the ignorers. Including a naked black SV. Boo!

I can get hold of a car to use when its deep snow (like this year....lasted 3 days and that was enough). A car just is not convineient for my commute, and certainly not in anyway fun and entertaining.
