Not ridden mine for about 3 weeks now and cant if I want to, the tail is in bits because I'm a clumsy git and snapped the tail tidy (it was knackered anyway) and my £200 I had put aside for a pair of Roadsmart's conveniently just about covered a set of winter tyres for the car...

Ah well, must write that To-Do list...

Got mine out for the first time in 2 weeks today, loved it and got home with the biggest grin on me face.
However I can understand why people don't look forward to riding, especially in bad weather, like recently. Sometimes after a week of riding in bad weather, I do look out of the window and do wish I had a car.
I reckon come sunny spring and summer you'll be itiching to go out and miss it.

I really need to get out on mine... Just not worth it at the moment though, because of the exhaust I have fitted there's a hole where the old one used to be meaning the battery and electrics get covered in salt and crap in this weather, nice design.

Everytime I open the garage I giggle to myself though in anticipation.

Thanks buddy, i'll keep that in mind.

I've not been out on mine since AUGUST (very big combination of factors, including a daredevil/exceptionally spirited ride home from a ride out and a very broken bike...)

I'm the same, I go out to the garage potter with the bike, and think, I could go out, I'm not sure I want to go out... And go back in the house. BUT once I get a nice day and get a proper run on the bike, blow away the cobwebs and feel free, I will get my bike mojo back - and so will you!

Dont give up on your bike just yet... stick it out til spring, get out on a rideout and enjoy it once again! There's no shame in being a fairweather rider or a weekend warrior...

Edit: alternatively you could try my other theory - make sure something is broken on the bike ALL THE TIME. The inability to ride it will almost certainly make you want to take it out ALL THE TIME. Even in the "hmm those big black thunderclouds up there wont ACTUALLY rain on me.." weather!!

Anyone else felt this way. …or should I just wait till it’s nice and sunny.
Last time I rode was 31st October too. I had a smashing day in Whitby for the goth weekend with org friends
It was the first reallly good long ride on the VRaptor, I only waited 6 months for that. It was a most magnificent day. It cured my feeling of bike withdrawal, having waited pretty much an entire year to ride again.
Now I don't want to take them out, I haven't even bothered looking in the shed and turning them over like I usually do. I'd rather stay in the warm and smell baby poo!
Think I'll wait til warmer weather, I'm turning into a poof!

I've not ridden a bike since last October as in 2009, due to a number of factors! I do miss it but not enough to go out in the cold plus it needs an MOT and taxing. Will get my SV and kitkats Raptor all sorted for the summer and then hopefully I'll get the riding need back into me.

Apart from a few test rides I've not ridden since July and its driving me nuts. That said I'm glad I've not been out in the last 2 weeks. Fighting the urge to buy something that will only get polished for a few months.
