Just had our hols booked today, cheeky week away to Sauze D'Oulx at the end of January - noice!

Might take a tootle up North this week to get a bit of practice in whilst it's good up there.

Haven't been for ages, but have done

Val d'Isère - best skiing I've ever done, v expensive, but high enough to usually ensure good snow
Le Duex Alpes - great, but not the best snow when I went, good food, expensive
Bulgaria - great, good snow, cheap & good for beginers
Romania- ultra cheap, good snow, good for beginers, bad food,
Italy - poor snow the year I went, great food
Andorra, cheap, poor snow, good food
Former Yugoslavia - cheap, good food, war broke out as we left

Yep, been there, bad snow the year we went, but good enough to have a good time

We went to Sauze last year (well, this year but you know what I mean) and loved it, there was tonnes of snow, all the runs were open etc.. brilliant!

Yes we had a run of bad winters, with poor snow, just the way it goes sometimes, still managed to ski, but icy in parts

Something I've never done, skiing. Always involved a tea tray or a motor

Am I just being a wuss or cheapskate?
