Hey Ryan, get yourself down to go outdoors in Cov, got loads there for good money and they are on display so you can go inside them and see what they are like etc.

what are you going to use it for? weekend away ? you want something small and light. doesnt matter what roms like as your only using it for 2 days max. i would suggest something like a 2 birth vango for about 30 quid (lots of different ones) if your wanting to go away for a week then its a different matter and you want something much bigger and your going to struggle with it on an sv (que loads of comments about i camped for 5 months in the winter in a bin bag) but you will want lots more space to dry kit out etc.

the good backpacking tents are about 100 quid plus and will last you for many years if you look after it. there also quite light. However i would suggest you get something for 30 quid and replace it every 2 years. Much less upsetting if it gets damaged then.

I've got a Vango 3 man something or other which has stood upto many ****ed up festivals

Got 3 or 4 camping trips on the bike planned for next year so i'm in 2 minds whether to get a small 2 man that'll go in the panniers or push the boat out/go the lazy option and get the Khyam biker. Quick popup tent does sound good

I have a Khyam Biker tent that I bought off someone off here for £50. They are brilliant, I had been after one for ages, it weighs virtually nothing & is up within about 2 minutes & is compact on the bike when stored away.

Invest in a debit card, fits in the wallet, welcome at most places or gets you cash to pay elsewhere and guarantees warm comfortable nights, showers/bathrooms and takes up sod all room

Its 50/50 at the moment. I am defiantely doing the AR and want to do a Euro trip also. With 3 little ones at home I might just be pushing it a bit with a 3rd trip!
