Well it didn't sell (again) with the highest bid at £922. So I would say the reserve is too high. I would have expected it to have sold for that.

Don't even worry about it, I thought about it and realised I've spent 6 or more times price of bike on fuel alone. What difference does resale make?
Whats on your clock mate?

Dunno, they are new clocks from GSXR now... but the OEM ones were at 65-70k something like that when they went all crunchy

Just a thought, when people change clocks, is it a requirement to tell the DVLA or anyone? Say my clocks broke and I got another pair, it'd have different mileage on them.

Any better or the same

As far as I know it is not an issue in slightest unless you come to sell it, or for as far as it is material to insurance company (i.e you go over your mileage, claim and if they could prove it, it would be mileage fraud)

If you sell it then it is mileage fraud to mislead the seller. I think it prudent to record old and new mileage on whatever MOT certificate is current, then next MOT will show the new clocks mileage count and any buyer could have an accurate idea of what's gone on.

K1-3 GSXR600.
Worse, tacho does not work properly. It needs inductive pickup rather than direct one I used as far as I can see.
Better that you get 2 trip counters and clock on dash. Quite a bit lighter too.

If I could get tach working I would change to GSXR1000K1-2 as they have redline which is nearer to correct.

As per YC, AFAIK it's fine to change the clocks as long as you don't then try to misrepresent the mileage when you sell the bike.

Both of my bikes have had the clocks changed. I've written the date of the change and the old/new mileage on the V5's and the last MOT. I'd show this to any buyer and that would presumably keep me right.

Too much money for this bike. Worth £650 tops.

As for MOT's. These can be checked free online at direct.gov.uk for the computerised ones. You just need the vehicle reg and reg document number. This check shows all the computerised mots, dates, stations and mileage. If the mileage drops, then there is something to look at.

Between 09/2006 and 07/2010 my bike had done 917 miles according to the MOT's!

[QUOTE=yorkie_chris;2452985]25k starship miles? You're joking!

It is for an old hack like this thats probably had 10 owners, probably all newbies crunching their way through the gears while learning how not to hurt themselves as they fall off in slow speed carpark "accidents"

At £750 you wouldnt even break even if you broke it up for spares.

Its odd that its even got on here as 99% off the forum dont even ride SV's
