monkey, looks like your a** will be safe from hongman - phone number is dead and if you go to the front of the site http://www.n-w-s.com it says Site No Longer Available.

So, back to looking at Abba stands, or are there other alternatives?

Yup take a look at this.

its probably about 50% less stable than a proppor adaptor. the reason is no matter how much you try and tighten it into the swing arm it will not be 100% snug so it tends to rock a little when lifting. It does work and it works ok, ish but i wouldnt trust it on anyone elses bike. Bearing in mind im doing this on an uphill not flat surface. Would probably be alright ona garage floor.

I think half of the problem is ive fitted it to the cups of the standard fitting kit. If i can get some more makde that are "full size" then they may be better. but i cant be bothered atm.

do you need to get the front up? if not just get a paddock stand. especially if you live on the flat.

Planning to do the fork seals. And paddock stands look much harder to use on your own.

Nah they're fine to put on on your own. Abba is easier and more sturdy IMO.

To be honest if your on the flat theres nothing wrong with a paddock stand. They can be a bit unsteady when lifting especially if your on a slope. The abba stand is a lot more stable and although expensive it will help lots.

If you can afford it get one, if not youll be fine with a paddock stand on the flat.

I have both paddock stand and ABBA stand. The paddock stand is quick to get the bike on and is fine for basic maintenance tasks. The paddock stand is ideal for cleaning, due to convenience. For more complex maintenance tasks, ABBA all the way, more stable and secure for when you are pulling on spanners.
