one of the headlights is indeed slaved off the other, if you want the wiring diagram let me know your email address and I`ll forward it on, Ive got the haynes (kindly supplied via beabert)
The haynes shows the euro and uk models on the same drawing so you should be able to see whats needed and work out where your loom was hacked about. Lee |

I am going to re-register my UK SV in France, during the next few weeks. I will let you know how I solve the headlamp problem on this thread.

I know this is an old thread - but as a new Curvy owner I need some help on this one. I've just bought a '99 650S. Definitely a UK model, both headlight bulbs are H4 (twin filament) and neiter side is a projector lamp. The RHS comes on dipped only and the LHS comes on Full only. Each side has only 2 wires (Black/White and Yellow to Lhs H4 connector, Black/White and White to 2 separate spade connectors on Rhs). I've just bought a headlight sub-loom - and it's exactly the same! From this thread some replies are saying that this is the Eu wiring, but the Haynes manual shows exactly the same wiring for all models. Can anyone shed some light on this mystery?
Thanks for any help offered |

You've got two single-light-at-a-time spec sets of wiring, good question which exact countries they came from, despite the blanket description of 'EU' wiring not all countries had the same legal requirements.
All UK spec wiring is neutral/low beam/high beam wiring at both H4 connectors.

Thanks for the reply Sid. I'm baffled as to how 2 UK bikes can have wiring which isn't shown n any wiring diagram!!! Any idea where I could locate a UK sub-loom?
Thanks |

I think everyones anwered the question I was gonna ask, I have a UK 02 curvy that I re-regged in France (Weetabix it was a nightmare and very costly!!) and now I'm back in blighty about to put it back on UK plates, the headlamp is a euro spec that cost me around 280€ to change!!! plus all the other "paperwork"... gotta love those French
