This week I ordered an expensive Easter egg for my mrs, not knowing the exact website I googles it and made the purchase, what do I find on every bloody YouTube video and forum banner advert, the bloody chocolate website. I then have my mrs hinting she wants an egg from this site, this happens on any machine from my ip

Apple makes it's money selling hardware and software

Google makes it's money form advertising, which requires them to know everything about you

That's what MobileMe is for. It tells you where it is, lets you remotely disable it and/or broadcast a noise (so if it's somewhere in your house, on silent, under a cushion, you can still find it)

I'm of the idgaf camp. Not because I dint value my privacy, but because I don't really care if mr jobs knows where I have been.

I can see both sides really. Yes it's a bit naughty, ESP doing it on the sly. But (and I maybe being naive) what harm can it do? They can analyse it as much as they want.

It could even be useful? Say a murder scene somehow had a payg number linked to it. They could use the system to possibly track the number to a locality?

The system uses Cell triangulation.

This is NOT accurate.

But COULD put you near the scene of said murder when you were 5 miles away.

Doesn't their presumption to record this without giving you an option to turn it off not offend you even a little?
