When does speeding become dangerous driving?

Unfortunately the police have been given the powers to be judge, jury and executioner in some cases - a sad state of affairs which is abused by a minority of those who should consider wearing the uniform an honour. If the offenders had all legalities regarding the bikes covered then morally they should never have had them seized until after a court case proving them guilty, unless they were stupid enough to admit to the offences at the roadside.

Blame the uncharged war criminal Tony Blair and his wonderful "government of the people" for that one. It was one of his "a new law for every day Labour were in power" moments.

Didn't say it was dangerous . Quick yes .
Even the pc who stopped me and chatted whilst we waited for tha vascar car to catch up said as much.
Admitted that nothing that had back then could stay letalone catch the bike I had .

Listen guys, I am out of the equation now but I still respect the job that I once enjoyed. I have no problem with speed itself, only the sometimes unfortunate circumstances if misused. It's not for me to say don't - just be aware of and accept the possible consequences.
