Pointy has simple trouble-free fuel injection that never goes wrong.

Curvy has carbs which ice up in winter, clog up when stood and generally give problems.

If anyone doubts this then a simple search for fuel injection problems and carb problems will soon show that FI is trouble-free in comparison. Bear in mind also that the pointy has been in production for about 8 years, which is twice as long as the curvy was made for, so roughly twice as many bikes out there and nowhere near the problems carbs give.

Pointies also look the dog's nads and purposeful, whereas a curvy looks all disjointed and out of proportion with a horribly bulbous fairing on the S models
