gearboxes, if its been thrashed they tend to be the only thing that go wrong or have ware issues but so do most bikes

well sat on 2000 plate one today and i like it, could get a bit uncomfortable on long rides but probs get used to it

i would love a 03 plate but will only have about 2-3k to spend

as i have a car now the bike wont get used much as its so inconvenient to use to get to a from work, mostly the odd long trip and weekend fun (and to use when the F1/wsb/GP is on as silverstone is a joke on those days)

Quite a few will have been thrashed to within a micron of their lives and beyond it

Go for it barwel, I've had one for over 2 years and commute on it every day, never had a problem (apart from a dodgy radiator cap and exup valve) . As has been said, check the gearbox as that's probably the area that will cause you the most bother if it's shagged (2nd gear will pop out under load).
