Have a peep at it, you'll see the engine is a lot closer on that side. Used to drive me mad, when mine was very ill, especially after engine swaps!
Yeh, you're right Dizzy, it is mostly on the right. Puts my mind at ease knowing it normal, in an SV kinda way anyway!

Bike still ill?

Just love that blast of hot air up the right hand side of the bike when the fan cuts in( radiator fan is on the right hand side also [pointy]).
Love is a strong word Shawthing! Might love it when the weather gets colder!!

No no, its been fine for around three years now
Its painfully hot when on a short sunny run, but on a good one with varying speeds its within what I expect to be normal range.

All you need to be aware of is, the fan. If you get it hot enough for that to kick in......you don't have to worry so much its going to blow up I used to run around thinking it might be broke too!! Its rare for one to do so, but usually when you are stuck at a crawl in traffic.
Shame it doesn't have a temp guage like on my Raptor, as that categorically kicks in at 106 degrees.

True - my fan only kicks in when I get off my bike at the end of a commute (35 minutes) becuase the last mile is at 30MPH... It usually only stays on for about 20 seconds after turning off the ignition though, this must be how long the battery keeps providing power to it for?
