After trying a bi-xenon kit from HIDS4U I went for Osram Nighbrakers and they're pretty good. I have the kit for sale 1/2 price if interested. Only used for testing about 1 hour.

How much are you looking for for these?

If OP doesn't want and the price is right I might be

You'll fail on aim and pattern at any straight MOT Testing Station. HIDS are no good in standard lenses because of the scatter they produce. All they do is chuck out huge amounts of bright light, not a beam that can be focussed by a stock reflector.

You'll be better off with some proper quality replacement bulbs, unless it's a fashion thing and you have to have HIDs to be one of the lads.

Not necessarily true. you can buy anti scatter hid kits which work very similarly to standard bulbs where reflectors and lenses are concerned. have used them on quite a few cars over the past few years with great effect. i have never and would never use a bent tester, and i have never had a problem with these types of kit.

max inc pm me with price posted fella, could well be interested so long as the colour temp isnt ridiculous!

Glad to hear it, makes a change to find someone with a responsible attitude to lighting and other road users.

At the end of the day, we all want to see where we are going! I absolutely HATE when someone is coming towards me with badly/non aligned HIDs and i cant see anything, so i wouldnt put somebody else in that position.

For now, i think im going to go down the super bright bulb route (100w) and if needs be, ill make up a relay loom to draw power direct from the battery.

First up though i need to fit new headstock bearings and give her a good service!
Oh and i noticed tonight that my speedo bulb isnt working, so need some new bulbs for that!
