I tried a HJC only last week. As soon as I put it on, the world went quiet however, it was seriously uncomfortable and the drop down sun shade was barely darker than the standard one! Had it felt comfortable, I think I would have had it because it was funky colours and had some good features

At the moment I have a Vemar Jiano and to be honest I really like it. Noise is more than the wifes Shoei, but comfort, stability at speed and the proper dark drop down sun shade make it a fantastic budget lid.

I have an IS-Max flip front.

The release catch for the flip mechanism is a little sticky sometimes, but nothing that a quick spray with furniture polish wont sort out.

The internal sun visor works well but could do with being a bit darker.

These minor gripes that would not stop me buying another of the same model. A more serious problem is that the flipfront lets in a LOT of cold air. So much so that I will be wearing my old fixed front when the temperature drops a little more.

For the conveniance I would not hesitate in having another flip front and for the price difference between HJC and a schubeth it would be a HJC.

Mr LPH has the Shark Evoline Moovit which he likes though I think it feels very heavy when I l have to carry it.

You can lock it back behind your head and ride legally with it up. He got his at the bike show last year for about £200.
