they are cold, just outta bed, lazy and don't look in their mirrors (or physically can't if they don't push them back out or wipe them as they are misted, or some i have seen don't even have a mirror in them!!) then they get ****ed off when you zip past and scare the sh!t out of them because they are not paying attention!!!

or they indicate and don't look and nearly hit you when they try to move into the lane you are already occupying.

they then have the audacity to have a go at 'you' at the next set of lights ...

Drivers do seem to be pretty bad at the moment! First crash yesterday, travelling along in a right hand lane at 30mph when the guy in the left lane suddenly decides to do a U-turn.....turned directly in front of me, no chance I could stop. I put the brakes on hard, ended up going down into the side of his car!

Seems odd as it was a lovely sunny day, dry roads, I had my lights on and my Remus can certainly meant you could hear me....he obviously just didn't look!

When I'm in the car and usually listen to radio, I for one can't really hear a bike's exhausts until they're really close, and only if they're revving the engine or accelerating hard. Don't put too much faith on them I'd say.

Yeah I agree, used to think oh its ok,got a bright coloured bike and loud can, but not anymore.

Im really starting to think how sensible wearing his vis might be. A work colleague nearly hit me on a roundabout in the summer, just before 7am, sun low, him half asleep. didnt see the headlight on just feet away from him.Was only his bike riding passenger that saw me and alerted him in time.

Driving most of the time at the moment (babysitting father-in-law's dog while he's on holiday and dog won't go in a rucksack). Riding has definitely made me a more observant driver but there are more distractions in the car. I try to wait until the windows have actually demisted though before I head off, and I know they won't steam up again as soon as I stop at lights!
