Friday teatime, a couple of beers in the club whilst playing snooker. Saturday evening in the club may just go on to 4 or 5 beers and a couple of whisky's.

Real ale, lager, Cider, Guinness, white wine, whisky, G&T, dark Rum

Once upon a time I'd get through a couple of bottles of whisky a week, usually drinking them in a couple of nights. And probably 5 or 6 visits to the pub a week... kids and commonsense calmed me down.

all of the above

both. I'll tend to have the odd can (1-2) with a meal at home, or occasionally knock back a decent whisky. If at the pub, more likely to be 8 or so pints of bitter.

3. how often do you drink?
At home probably 1-2 a week, maybe once a month to the pub.

4. what's your favourite/preferred tipple?
IPA at the pub or single malt. Prefer a lighter, smoother malt to heavily peated one.

1. I drink to get drunk with my mates or colleagues and I like the taste.
Although I never get mad drunk anymore unless it's an occasion.

2. Mainly in the pub

3. When I'm home almost never, on average twice a month (thats once a fortnight). When I'm out with work most days.

4. Bottled Lager. Bud, Sol, Corona etc.

I love the taste of a pint after a long days work or after a footy game, but it has a HUGE social aspect for me with my mates/workmates social lives are built around the pub/clubs nowadays.
But I also like being drunk.

Will possibly have one or 2 with a meal in the house but...
If I am going out at the weekend, usually drink in someones house from maybe 5pm to 11/12 pm then go out, Aberdeen is extortion for drink, so cheapest way.
But can go out at lunch for rugby or footy game and stay out till 3am, but thats going to cost me £80+.

3. how often do you drink?

3-5 times a week.
Thursday - Pub quiz, good few pints, maybe go out after till 2am.
Friday - Few pints after work with food, then back to my mates house, drink there till 10ish then head to a few bars/pubs then onto a club.
Saturday - If I don't have to play footy, go to pub in the afternoon and see how it goes? 90% likely I will end up out for the whole day and night.
Sunday - Go to pub in afternoon for food and footy, see how that goes.

Mon/Tues/Wed - More than likely will end up having at least a few one of these days, usually watching the footy.

Tennants/Fosters/Stella (Pints or cans)
Jager

When I feel like being fancy, bottles of tiger/cobra/moretti.

Annually the football lads get completely slotted,
I meet mates at the pub for a catch up and
I enjoy a tipple at home at least once a week just because its nicer than water.

Mainly now in the house, its cheaper, convienient, and we've all got better things to be doing than hanging around pubs.

A couple of nights a week I'll have a teachers and coke, Once every few weeks I'll have a couple of cans (usually on a sunday whilst cooking and eating a roast).

Any whisky/burbon with coke will always go down nicely, if its a slow drink in the sun or something or a single drink when out and about I tend to have a pale ale.

NB: Rum and Coke (Cuba Libre) is the nutts! a Tipple I save for nights out/Holidays

1. Mostly it's 'cos I like it, and I enjoy social occasions like being in the pub with a drink.

2. Mostly in the pub.

3. Presently almost never, under more normal circumstances typically twice a week.

4. Beer* and whisky.

*That's beer, not the tasteless rubbish masquerading as 'lager' found in British pubs.

Sociable mostly, I usually only drink when the company is paying as that is when I have sociable company too. I have got a taste for some spirits though (see other thread)

Mainly hotel bar, I have a small stash of miniature spirits that I'm working my way through at home but I only drink at home once every 2 months so its slow progress.

Taking both opportunities into account (work and home) then around once a month.

4. what's your favourite/preferred tipple?
Currently double dark rum and coke is my staple. (although at home I quite like what I've taken to calling "Irn Kraken", Irn bru and Kraken spiced rum, unimaginatively named yet lovely!)

We should have people plotted on a units/week frequency chart, could be enlightening/horrifying in equal measure.
