Yes, you have to cut/solder the connections for a CBR R/R.

Thought that was the case

Does it need to be a connector or would spades be ok?
Whats the level of the soldering as I aint the best at it

infact twisting the wires on makes the connection soldering just secures it




Out of interest is the reg/rec problem as prevalent on pointies?

I did the CBR mosfet reg on mine. Used the old connectors from the SV unit. If you're careful you'd be able to remove them with a small screwdriver without damaging them. I also soldered them on for good measure. also ran a ticker charging wire while I was at it. Less resistance means less loss and heat. There's a good write-up somewhere. I think I posted it on SV-rider...

thanks everyone.
Going back to the main breakers up here on Monday to see if the one I did spot was the right one.

Anyone else think of bikes that run Mosfet FH008's?

Aye, watched him do it, piece of pish really. Didn't bother with solder, wrapped ends with insulation tape. Had to chop down a couple of wires but no biggie.

My soldering iron is crap TBH.
Not able to persuade him to take other bit off the rat?

Anyone know if ZX10R reg/recs are useable as I have an inkling there will be one at where I'm going
